Stochastic Comparison at Component Level and System Level Series System with Two Proportional Hazards Rate Components
Abstract:In the active redundancy case, two redundancy policies were discussed of component level and system level for the series system consisting of two proportional hazards rate model components, and based on the theory of stochastic order,the stochastic comparisons results are established that component level is better than system level in the sense of the usually stochastic order, hazard rate order, reversed hazard rate order, respectively.
