Abstract:By using the DEA method, this article estimated the comprehensive technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of fiscal spending on the people's livelihood of China's 31 provinces in 2009-2013, and analyzes the scale of the government's fiscal expenditure on people's livelihood. The research result shows that, in most provinces, the DEA scores of the fiscal spending on the people's livelihood are more than 0.9, though the efficiency has not reached the highest level, but is relatively high in all. Furthermore, there are many differences in the output performance of the fiscal people's livelihood among the provinces: the output level of the Eastern provinces is higher than that of the Middle and Western provinces, and the efficiency of the Western provinces is the lowest, which shows a great room for improvement. |
